This is fine for the most part but presents a problem with Antivirus Full Scans that have to run afterhours. They use Syamntec Corporate edition. Is there a a way to configure the AV client to automatically shutdown the workstation once the scan is completed afterhours?

Not that I've ever seen. However, you can schedule the scans for just after business hours and then run a script with the shutdown command that turns the system off at a given time. You just have to make sure you give the systems enough time to run the scan. However, I've found the best alternative is to have the customer pick one night during the week to run the scans. The systems will then be off 6 out of the 7 days, so it is a good compromise.
