We are running MB now and just downloaded Surfright. Will see if this works. Any removal tool for just this issue?
I don't believe there is a specific removal tool since there are so many variations. that is why the 2 articles mentioned are very good.

osxla -
I sincerely appreciate your including my comment in the points award, but I was only commenting to clarify a couple of things.

The other EE Experts had already posted the information needed.

If any of the other Experts involved think it necessary, I can have this question re-opened and the points assignment changed.

Thank you.
@younghv:

I don't think it necessary.  All I was really doing was pointing to your articles anyway so you really provided the best information even if it was indirectly.   :)

To add in the actual fix that I found was Rkill. That was the tool that killed this virus. Thank for the suggestions.
@pony10us - thanks. Good teamwork all around.

@osxla - Again, just for clarification. "RKill" (written by MS MVP Lawrence Abrams) "kills" the rogue process(es), which allows your scanner to function properly. It is a great tool and widely used.

I have changed my preference to (EE Expert) Tigzy's "RogueKiller" because of the added Menu Options that can help correct a variety of post malware symptoms.

There is another great tool called "TheKiller" that performs a similar function.

Regarding all of these tools, I am just grateful that we have a whole host of "Good Guys" on our side in the battle of Malware Dominance (drum roll and clashing cymbals!).

Thanks to all - good discussion & good work.
