The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Looking for a good program for secure LAN chats, file transfer and computer remote control

I am looking for a good software program that will give us the same services as Windows Live Messenger, but be LAN based. We would like to be able to chat, transfer files and select users to be able to control the computer remotely. Basically everything that Windows Live Messenger does but we would like it to be completely internal. No access outside the network or communication outside the network. We can't use Live Messenger or anything like that because we don't want people chatting with other people outside the network and we want to keep all conversations secure. We also want users to be able to transfer files from one person to another using the program and we also want IT to be able to control the computer. Say someone sends me an instant message saying they are having problems with their computer, I click a button within the chat window or something requesting to take over the computer and then I have control. That is the basic idea. A definite plus but would be pushing it would be Active Directory integration so that you can use AD or the Global Address Book to select who you want to start a chat session with. I can't find anything out there, please let me know if anyone knows of anything.
