Browse All TopicsHi I am trying to buy calling credits for Skype using my credit card, however it doesn't seem that I can pay directly with it, rather the payment method asks me to choose between MoneyBookers, PayByCash or CashU, so sounds like Skype use PayPal-like money transfer services to receive payment rather than direct payment from credit cards.
I have always used credit cards directly to make online purchases, I never used any online money transfer services like PayPal, MoneyBookers...etc. so I am not sure which skype payment method should I choose (MoneyBookers, CashU, PayByCash). Can someone advice or give me an idea which one I should go for? And apologies in advance if this post wast not made in the best zone as I was not 100% sure about which one matched it the best
Thanks in advance

First, I don't understand why it won't allow you to pay by credit card (at least Visa or Mastercard). I checked my settings, and it gave me six options: PayPal, Visa, Mastercard, Bank transfer, Moneybookers, and JCB. I've never used either of the last two.
However, I know that, assuming you do not have a Visa or Mastercard, if you sign up for an account with PayPal, you can use your credit card to add a balance to it and use that balance for online purchases. PayPal becomes like a middle-bank, where you transfer money from a card or bank account into the PayPal account, and it holds it like a bank would. You can then use that balance to pay for things. Otherwise, you can just leave the balance empty and as you use PayPal to purchase things, and it will deduct the amount from the credit card you have signed up with.
From what I gather, Moneybookers is similar, but, because I have had a good deal of experience with PayPal and have not been disappointed, I would recommend it. Again, that is if you do not have a Mastercard or Visa.
