Outlook 2007 crashes connected to exchange 2003 server

Hi!

I am helping a friend who have a problem.
When i help him to connect his Outlook 2007 client to a Exchange 2003 server the client crashes. I have tested Outllok 2007 on different computers with the same result of a crash fter about 80sec if i connect with Outlook 2003 client everything works perfekt.

So what make Outlook 2007 crash but not 2003?

I connect everyday like that with no crashes. What is in the application logs about the crash event?

Are those installs upgrades of Outlook 2003? If so, try taking them out of cache mode and see what happens. If it runs without issue, put it back into cache mode.

No they are fresh installs, i have tried both with cache mode and without. And also tried remove the outlook.ost file. Same result.

All instances I've ever seen with contab32.dll were OST related. That fixed them all for me, but they were all upgrades too.

Is Outlook fully patched?

Yes it is fully patched, i have tested on three diferent machines with Outlook 2007 all of them patched.

Are you using SP1 ??
Alot of users are reporting similar problems only with SP1.
