I would never shoot the messenger; you provided me with what I had to know, without good advice I'd still be barking up the wrong tree. I will look into VPS and see if it's something I can manage. I would truly like to have something like what Openfire offers, but it may be out of my league to set up and manage. Thank you again

Please don't shoot the messenger, but you're not gonna be able to do that with your hosting provider because you don't have access to the system resources required.
If it's really important to you then you might investigate getting a virtual private server (VPS), which is effectively like having your own Linux box and would allow you to install pretty much anything you want to. Some of them are nearly as cheap as you're paying now.
