To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating. - The Grade of the Solution
- The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
- The Number of Author and Expert Comments
- The Number of Experts Contributing
- The Feedback of the Community
Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. This is a follow up question that came about in a previous discussion about Web Proxies. The question really belongs in a different group now so Im asking it here. Im looking for applications that are designed to be carried over (embedded in) HTTP. The reason is the LAN users will ONLY be routed thru a Web Proxy to get to the internet and there are certain capabilities that need to be maintained. Specifically looking for the following applications that normally do not use HTTP or HTTPS, and I want to know who out there has had direct experience with specific applications (freeware or otherwise) that do the following:
1. Secure chat
2. Voip
3. Streaming media
4. Vpn client tunneling
5. SSL or telnet to remote servers.
6. Email clients
Looking to see what you all have used with your web proxy and to what success. Thank you.
