The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Email being rejected from Web site even when sent from different IP addresses, smtp servers and ISPs

Asked by StoneyJ50 in Spam Black Holes, Email Clients, Anti-Spam Email Software

I have an email address that I had registered with a social networking site and was able to correspond ok with their double-blind server until recently.  When I attempted to send emails I got error code as indicated above.  The email address was a domain that I own.    Further, even when I attempted to contact them through their technical issue template I got bounce messages as well.  I thought perhaps somehow my IP had been blacklisted.  Running it through a few sites that check BL revealed only a few that didn't appear to be of any consequence.

But I thought I would go ahead and try and run the email again except from different IPs using the different smtp servers of my Verizon aircard as well as my iPhone.  I would still get the bounce messages.  It leaves me to believe that this site has blacklisted my domain names even though I am a member in good standing and the send emails to me. In other words they are ok with my email for sending me stuff but when I have contact with them or their double-bline server I get the bounce messages.  I have tried yet another email address whose domain name I own and I get the same thing.  Both of these domain names are hosted by the same ISP.

The technical support of this site is lacking so I have undertaken a snail mail effort to get things moving.

Anybody have any suggestions?  It occurs in both Win XP, Vista Home and Safari osStart Free Trial
