Have you tried uninstalling it, using Add/Remove Programs instead of the uninstaller package for the software?

Browse All TopicsI installed McAfee Spamkiller for Exchange 2003 version 2.1.1148.100, downloaded from McAfee's site, a 30 day trial for Windows 2003 server. It seemed like a good product so I bought a license.
I received a grantnumber by mail to access the McAfee site and was able to download version 2.1.12 and the executable "ska.exe", which should convert the trial version to licensed mode.
After running ska.exe my McAfee controll panel tell's me this version is now indeed licensed (before it had the status "trial").
After this I wanted to upgrade to version 2.1.12, the one I bought and downloaded, but the setup program gives a popup stating "A licensed version of McAfee SpamKiller is already installed" and "Installation ended prematurely because of an error.".
When I try to deinstall this version of Spamkiller, after some time, a popup appeared, saying "Error 1722. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personel or package vendor" and "Fatal error during installation.". So I can not upgrade my software, nor uninstall it. I seem to get stuck. Restaring the server etc does not help.
For this moment, all I want is to uninstall the software from this Windows 2003 server, not at all being satisfied about this behavior.
Can anyone assist me?
Kindest regards. Rini

if you want uninstall product:
first you download this tool:
1) McAfee Consumer Product Removal Tool 2.0.155.1
http://download.mcafee.com
if it's not work then download total uninstall software:
http://rapidshare.com/file
after you go START>RUN>TYPE REGEDIT>GO TO EDIT OPTION> FIND >TYPE McAfee
After you delete all value and folder where you see MCAFEE to your REGEDIT
afetr you restart the computer and you see mcafee uninstall to you system..
Addition to my problem:
==================
I ran the windows install cleanup as suggested and indeed spamkiller is removed from the list of installed programs. But when I try to install it again, it does not immediately stop as before with the message "A licensed version of McAfee SpamKiller is already installed", but now it begins installing and stops halfway with the message "Internal Error 2753: configure.exe".
The tool MCPR does not deinstall SpamKiller :-(
Uninstall tool does not help: as a result of the windows install cleanup tool Spammkiller does not show up anymore in any list.
Spamkiller still exists on my server and is still running. Still not able to remove it.
Addition to my problem:
==================
I ran MCPR and after that removed everything in the registry and rebooted.
The McAfee Spamkiller service is gone and as far as I can see the software is deactivated, doesn't interface any more with Exchange.
After this I tried to do a fresh install but during the installation proces I again got the message "Internal Error 2753: configure.exe" (same as earlier).
Although I indeed bought the software, contacting McAfee did not help (I did earlier), several times no response :-( - bad service.
No I've got rid of the software, but cannot install the product for which I've paid a lot of ¬'s. Anybody suggestions?
For anyone who may come across this as I did.
