Browse All TopicsHi,
I want to simulate a Barracuda SPAM Firewall spam check using SPAM Assassin.
I know that, if you create a ".procmailrc" with a rule like this:
:!0
my@email.com
it pushes clean email to that address.
However, how can I make it that is pushes the mail to an IP/port, instead of an email address?
That way, I don't have to mess/alter email alias tables.
This is how the Barracuda Anti SPAM system does it, and some other anti-spam techniques.
Is this possible?

Have a look at amavisd-new... This is a daemon which accepts mail on one port, performs different checks on it using other programs (spam => spamassassin, virusses => e.g. clamav, content-types, filenames (bulit-in)...), and then pushes it on to another predefined ip/port.
It is a bit complicated to set up, but certainly worth the work.
