Microsoft, Outlook, 2003, Client for MS Exchange 2003 with GFI Mailessentials Spam Filter
The company I work with sends e-mails (a mass mailing) to clients using a e-mailing service (mmslists.com). During a test send it was discovered that one test e-mail was received by a user on my network (i.e., Outlook 2003 client /w latest security patches, MS Exchange 2003 /w GFI Mailessentials, behind a cisco 1800 router/fw ) and the Address in the From: field was listed correctly. A second e-mail in this test was identified as spam by our GFI spam filter and the text portion of the From: address: was missing while the link was in one piece. Now whitelisting the IP address and the domain may solve the spam inclusion, I don't see why the From address was changfed. Any suggestions?
