The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. How do I prevent unauthorized people from forging email address from my domain?

I have recently had a surge of spam  being delivered to users in my domain that are forging our domain name. An example would be "Elaine" dvfr@ourdomain.com

dvfr@ourdomain.com is not a valid user on our domain and when I look at the message headers it shows that they are coming from IP addresses all over the world.

I am running Exchange 2003 on one server, all of my incoming mail is routed through an external spam filter (Postini) then passed on to our server, when sending email, it is sent directly from our server. I have also created a SPF record. And yes, the Exchange server is behind a firewall.

I am really struglling to find a way to stop this. The emails that are coming in to our mailboxes are annoying but what worries me more is that people outside of our company are recieving these emails as well and think that they are truely coming from us. We have actually had people call us and report it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and if there is any other info that that is needed to help, please let me know.
