Couldnt get a response from McAfee regarding the hotfix. Going to close the question for now, we can update Groupshield manually until McAfee eventually fix it, or replace it with a decent product, thanks!

Question
Groupshield autoupdate will not work
We have installed Groupshield 7 with Exchange 2007 on W2008 server. Applied any service packs and the 2008 hotfix. Groupshield update fails, we have updated the engine and DAT manually but the auto update still fails. W2008 reports a script error, the application event log has 2 errors, Event 1000 Faulting application McScript_InUse.exe, version 3.6.0.453, time stamp 0x455507bd, faulting module UpdateCallback.dll, version 7.0.609.0, time stamp 0x47becaea, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x0000bb10, process id 0x1a04, application start time 0x01c91f1f6205de76.
Followed by, Event id 2053 An update failed with error 80004005:Unspecified error.
Any ideas out there?
