Hi KASPBoodai,
What kind of security software is running on that machine? I'm thinking that some anti-spyware program is blocking all GIFs as it thinks they are web-bugs.

Browse All TopicsWell i had to reopen this call as the problem has reoccurred, to give a brief history on this problem am pasting the problem below.
When ever an email is received having GIF Images in message body the images are not visible, it has an X on it.
I can see all gif files in embedded folder but these gif files were not recognized as gif files, on right click properties it would display the file type as "file" and not gif.
I tried to rename those few files by adding a gif extension to it, it would then recognize it as gif file but wont display the same in eudora.
I thought the problem is sorted but i was wrong as our CFO reported same problem again. I have to get this thing fixed at any cost.
I am pasting source file below for all experts to review on. Kindly review and come up with a solution as am not able to solve this.

KASPBoodaj,
I don't believe that is the standard path for embedded files. If you look at Eudora's readme file, you'll find a discussion of whether to have a "custom' set up or to use the "default" setup that has been standard since Windows XP (which
In other words, I'm wondering whether Eudora knows where to look for this files.
Also in the readme file is this note about viewing graphics.
Eudora's standard message viewer supports basic HTML, such as text
formatting and inline images (displaying pictures within the body of
a message rather than in a separate window). Some of the supported
image formats include .BMP, .JPG, and .PNG files. Installing Apple's
QuickTime application adds support to the standard viewer for inline
display of a wider range of image (picture) formats such as .GIF's.
Installing Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE), version 4.0 or above,
adds an additional message viewer (hereinafter, the Microsoft viewer)
to Eudora that can accurately display just about any HTML message you
might receive.
If your user downloads software that captures the .gif extension, Eudora may not know how to display .gifs any more.
