The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Hiring First Full-Time Assistant - What is the Best way to Share Outlook Express with Her??

Asked by CJEDJE in OE-WindowsLive, Outlook Groupware Software

Tags: , , , ,

Hope you can give some good advice -- I am about to get my first full-time assistant.  She will have her own computer, and I will have my own.

I need her
(a) to be able to have access to the internet AND
(b) to be able to take phone messages in a template that i've created on my computer in MS Outlook;
(c) to be able to share a calendar in my MS Outlook (perhaps her own calendar, and make appointments for me on mine;
(d) create contacts in MS Outlook;
(e) perhaps have access to certain designated MS Word files on my computer (so when I need her to draft some document, she can access it from my computer, and she can then save her changes to the document on my computer or perhaps just email me her changes.

QUESTION:
I am sure that this is a very common scenario! The question is what is the best way (a) to share this type of information; and (b) while maintaining my privacy (i.e. my own emails and other files); and (c) taking into account cost?   I assume that the two computers would be connected via peer-to-peer.  Can she access Outlook on my computer at the same time as I do - and without having access to anything else?  Can she have limited access to perhaps some Word documents without access to others?

Thanks in advance for your expert guidance.
