I have a client who has an ongoing issue with Outlook Express 6. She was unable to change default font size or color. I disabled a stationary she had enabled, and double-checked settings in IE 7.0 (ie, no overriding fonts, etc) that managed to get OE to a point where she can now change the font size, but is STILL unable to change color.
Last time I was out there, I installed Thunderbird to see if I could get it working properly, and to my surprise, am unable to change font color in Thunderbird either.
I don't do a lot of work with OE, it irritates me, but it seems like some kind of HTML issue that is shared between the email clients. Either that, or some random-dangle setting that Thunderbird imported with Outlook's settings that now breaks font color in both programs.
I sent an email to my gmail from within Thunderbird, and the portions I attempted to color turned up blue, regardless of what color I tried to make them. Interestingly, she somehow set her default web font color to blue in IE 7 before the last time I went out there.
Any thoughts?
