thanks for the response.
i was thinking the server - because i had ran out of options???
the computers are on the switch just like the server [ it is a domain server with files and programs used by machines and their users ]
the emails use POP3 and SMTP. i have them set up exactly as godaddy instructs
with the accurate ports. i am confused as to when you say " open on the router "
am i supposed to change a setting in comcast's router for the email ports?
no encryption on the emails

Hi webdott,
What is the function of the server for your company? If you are using GoDaddy for your email accounts, then the server is not an exchange server, correct? You didn't mention having a domain, so I'm assuming it isn't a domain controller, so is it just a file server?
If so, I don't see what the file server would have to do with any of the email problems. Especially if the server isn't in front of all the other computers as they try to send email. If it's on a switch just like all the others it most likely isn't causing any problems. Can you give me some details on what makes you think it's the server?
Lastly, are you sure you have all the email settings set up correctly in outlook for GoDaddy's servers? All the ports are correctly pointed and open on the router? Are you using encryption on your email sending and receiving or is it simply POP3 and SMTP?
