Windows 2003 Terminal Server - Cannot Change Outlook Express Default

Asked by ExchAzag in Windows 2003 Server, OE-WindowsLive

Tags: Microsoft, Terminal Server/Outlook Express, 2003

I recently setup a new windows 2003 terminal server in our domain.  After moving several users to the new server I received a few complaints about when they click the "Send To > Mail Recipient" option that it opens the internet connection wizard.  This seems directly related to Internet Explorer 7 and Outlook Express 6.  Since windows 2003 servers do not have an option to remove Outlook Express 6, I am stuck.  I have tried resetting the default programs within Internet Explorer and even removing version 7 and using version 6.  I have even attempted to install mozilla firefox and make it my default browser.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance for any help.Start Free Trial
