Hi All,

I am unable to mount the public folder in exchange 2007. Now let  me tell you about the setup i have. In my test environment I have two exchange 2003 and two Exchange 2007 machines, since we are testing co-exixtence of exchange 2003 and 2007. The two machines with exchange 2003 are working well and I can send and receive mails between them. The problem lies with exchange 2007. Whenever i try to mount the public folder it gives me the following error. The mailbox is mounted.

--------------------------------------------------------
Microsoft Exchange Error

Failed to mount database 'Public Folder Database'.

Is there any link between public folder and mailbox. Cant I send and receive mails since my mailbox is mounted or do I have to mount the public folder as well to pass messages between the clients. We are testing an EMC2 clustering product which automatically mounts both the first and second storage groups. The application log shows the following error:

Error 0xfffffb41 starting Storage Group /DC=com/DC=Myexch/CN=Configuration/CN=Services/CN=Microsoft Exchange/CN=MYMAIL/CN=Administrative Groups/CN=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)/CN=Servers/CN=NEWMAIL/CN=InformationStore/CN=Second Storage Group on the Microsoft Exchange Information Store.
<NULL>.

When I try it manually, The application log shows the following error:

Error 0xfffffbc3 starting Storage Group /DC=com/DC=Myexch/CN=Configuration/CN=Services/CN=Microsoft Exchange/CN=MYMAIL/CN=Administrative Groups/CN=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)/CN=Servers/CN=NEWMAIL/CN=InformationStore/CN=Second Storage Group on the Microsoft Exchange Information Store.
