Oh well. Care to tell us about your software? Which OS? Which mail client?

Do you have an AV installed? Which AV is it? Norton has got some issues off late.

Try setting your SMTP server to your ISP's SMTP server - they may have changed their requirements and not informed their Help Desk.

Are you trying to send an email to a large number of recipients? This may also be causing problems at the ISP or client (eg: OE) level. Try sending an email to just one recipient and check if it is delivered.

Cheers

Try creating a new Profile and setup this account in the new profile and see if it works. If it works in your new profile, come back to your currrent profile and simply remove this account. Exit from EE and log off. Restart your PC. Start OE and create your profile again.

Please post back if you face some problems.

What I figured my self that's I created a new folder, then I went to 'message rules', and set a rule "Apply this rule after the message arrives For all messages Move it to the 'New Inbox' folder", this worked out so all my messages are going to the 'new folder'. (I had such a rule before for specific messages to forward to a specific folder, and today I received a message to that specific folder). That means the inbox folder is corrupted, also I realized that I lost ALL my previous messages of my 'inbox' folder and it's now empty.
So maybe can someone help me to correct my 'inbox' and to retrieve my old messages?
Thank you

First of all I noticed that your pop3 server is pop.mail.yahoo.com. You can only retrieve your Yahoo email thru Outlook express if you subscribe and pay for the Yahoo Mail! Plus service ($19.95US/year).

1- Are you sure you are subscribed or that your membership has not elapsed?

2- If you have a Yahoo account, your emails should still be accesible if youy go thru the Yahoo.com email interface

3- If you are going to try to recover your inbox first backup the proper .DBX file which is usually located in "C:\Documents and Settings\Your_User_Name\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{60893DE6-55E9-4C0E-A843-EB87F0FCF58A}\Microsoft\Outlook Express" or something similar

4- If you know that you have a corrupted file, you can try using "Outlook Express repair tool" to recover your lost messages:
http://www.oemailrecovery.com/outlook-express-repair.html . Once again, your email folders are located usually at in the folder above.

5- Finally, you should read the following FAQ from Yahoo's web site regarding problems with connecting to your Yahoo account thru Outlook Express

http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/mail/pop/pop-06.html

Good Luck and post back!

Seb

First of all thank you for your help to recover my lost messages  by using the "Outlook Express repair tool"

I have no problems with connecting to your Yahoo account thru Outlook Express, I'm signed up with yahoo, also I'm able to download my e-mails to my 'new folder' I just created, the problem is only to use my 'inbox' folder.

1 - Backup/Save your email messages to a folder somewhere on your drive. you can do this simply by dragging and dropping the emal to a folder. The files saved will have a .eml extension

2 - Click on Tools=> Accounts and delete all your email account(s).

3- Delete any and all rules that you may have created

4- Close Outlook Express (this step is important)

5- Using Windows Explorer go to the folder where all your messages are saved and delete all the Files in that folder. Don't wory OE will create them again the next time you run OE. The deafult message folder is usually located in "C:\Documents and Settings\Your_User_Name\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{60893DE6-55E9-4C0E-A843-EB87F0FCF58A}\Microsoft\Outlook Express" or something similar

6 - You'll have to now add your Yahoo! account back to OE.

7- The .dbx files will now be recreated and any new mail will  end up in the "Inbox" folder by default.

8- Drag and drop the all of the .eml  files that you backed up in step 1

9- That should do it!

I think that my 2 huge posts addressed his problem in the best way and his last post actually states that he was able to  recover his emails with my instructions.

I stiil unable to use my 'inbox' folder, the only help I got is that I was able to recover my e-mail with SebastianAguilera's instructions. I just created a new folder in OE, and I made a 'Message rull' to automaticly move all mesagges to the 'new folder', I would sill appriciate if any body will be able to help me reair my 'Inbox'

Have you tried my second suggestion posted on Date: 01/25/2005 07:35PM PST ????

>> I would sill appriciate if any body will be able to help me reair my 'Inbox'

Since you have been able to recover your email already, reparing Inbox is gonna be easy. In fact, Don't repair it. Just find the corresponding Inbox.dbx file and delete it while OE is not running. The next time you start OE, it will create the Inbox from scratch and it is most likely to be problem-free.

Thank You, great selution. But one more question, is there any way to import all the recovert e-mails (using the "Outlook Express repair tool) back into my 'Inbox'?

by: RanjeetRainPosted on 2005-06-19 at 21:25:08ID: 14254302

Yeah!

(1) Select Inbox folder in OE
(2) Open Windows Explorer
(3) Browse to the correct folder
(4) Select all the recovered mails
(5) Drag them from Explorer and drop them into OE Inbox

Let us know if you face a problem.
