no i was not aware of that...may have to use that at home.
not really interested in ota sync...i've installed, setup, configed, administered, bes a few years ago...was on 3.5
i've used a berry for about 5 years now.
not using a bes, so just use it as a pop client.
however this is going to be for a dr. she wants to sync her mailbox when she connects...get the email when on the road
what i dont want to happen is her lose her messages and still be able to get them on the road.
someone mentioned forwarding it to a contact in exchange, and leave copy on server...or something like that...not sure how to do it though.

If there is no BES then there is no sync.
The Blackberry is basically another POP3 client, it will pull the email down and send it itself, but sent items will not be synchronised over the air. The desktop client may well sync the items for you when the device is connected.
Are you aware of the BES Express edition (or whatever its full name is). This is a cut down version of BES, that is free for the server. The server includes a CAL for one device and you can have up to 13 more on the same server, just paying for the CALs before you have to move to BES.
