Hi,
I have Outlook 2007 on my PC (stand alone installation - No Exchange). My Outlook Contacts were OK until I mistakingly setup my iPAQ phone and (Don't ask me why!!) set it to replace PC items with those on my iPAQ! Consequently, all my contacts have been replaced with my iPAQ phones contacts!. I've since closed Outlook and with it Deleted the Delelted Items before I realised.
Is there anyway to recover my Deleted Contacts from my PC?

If you have created a new PST file with no contacts to replace the old PST with contacts, the old file has been overwritten. You cannot recover the contacts from the old PST file. Sorry!
If you have an archive.pst for a backup, use that to recover your contacts.

There's a search feature there. I would look for any file formats ending with the .pst .ost .eml or .vcf extensions. This may give you an idea as to where they are located. You can then have GDB copy these to a good drive or location on your drive. I think you can get all of the file formats except maybe .ost directly back into outlook.

I've searched all the locations for all file formats for outlook but nothing there! I did locate an older copy or previous version of the pst file but it was so corrupt or only partial that even the ms pst fix program wouldn't read it! Do you know what file extension is used by MS Outlook for deleted contacts? I don't have any vcf files on the drive

You need to employ a paid solution to help you out. I prefer getdataback for NTFS, available at runtime.org. It is free to try, but you must pay to actually recover any data. Assuming that you havent written over the location of the files marked for deletion, you should be able to recover them. I prefer to use this with Bart PE, or by slaving the drive to another computer and then running the application.
