I have a user whose having problems with the "To" field in a new email message on Outlook 2003. When she begins to write the name of a person who she has emailed before, it should automatically fill in the name under the box for her to sselect it. Well, it's not happening. Once she re-opens the program, seems like the NK2 file which holds the cache info gets recreated or so it seems.
Any help is appreciated!

Hi war1,
Thanks for the reply, I did exactly as you said, renamed the nk2 to outlook.nk2old, closed out look and opened it. Then I tried creating an email by selecting the recipient from the address book, thn sent the email. I sent another mail to the same person, this time with the field populating the same name autonatically as it should do always. i closed outlook and opened it again and it did not work anymore. I looked in the directory and there was no nk2 file created there.
Make sure auto complete is enabled in Outlook.
* Load Microsoft Outlook
* Go to the Tools pull-down menu and choose Options
* Click the E-Mail Options button, and then the Advanced E-mail Options button
* To enable Auto Complete, check the box for "Suggest names while completing the To, Cc and Bcc fields

Greetings RAMCIT !
n Data\Microsoft\Outlook folder. It is a hidden file. Go to any folder and select Tools > Folders Options > View. Check "Show hidden files and folders". Click OK.
The NK2 file could be corrupted. Rename or delete the NK2 file. With Outlook close, search for *.NK2 and rename the file. When Outlook opens, a new one should be created.
.NK2 file is located in
C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Applicatio
Best wishes, war1
