How to configure an outlook client to get email fro an excange server over the internet

Without using vpn is there a way to configure a outlook client to connect to an exchange server over th internet. I have an exchange server in the office and i do not want to use the web access with exchange i want to use outlook at my hosue... i have all the protocols enabled and it still does not work.... i tried configuring it using pop3 and it didnt work... maybe im usign the worng ports ... im using the defualts ports btw... i have also tried usign the exchange opiniioon that does not work... Is there a port that need to be forwarded that i dont know about for outlook to look at the exhcange server.... Start Free Trial
