Use OMA not OWA to collect mail (eg in Thunderbird)

Asked by Zuzzy in Email Clients, Exchange Email Server, Windows Mobile (Pocket PC / Win CE) Operating Systems

My company have OWA and OMA available to remote users, however OWA requires an RSA keyfob login so it is unsuitable for use as an means of syncing my Exchange mailbox with other apps such as Thurnderbird.  However, OMA is open and uses a static (not keyfob) login, and I can browse to the /oma path and login fine to see my mails.

It must have been done before that mail is collected using OMA not OWA, and preferable with push email too., otherwise I am going to write it as I can see the mails so it can't be too hard from this point??

I am on both Windows and Mac. Basically what I want tis to simulate a PDA to keep my mails in sync when not using Outlook

Thanks in advance,
