how to send email with jsp, when the username is known instead of email of the person.

Hi,

In my jsp, i need to send email to some managers, i am getting the email id of the managers from the database able. I am able to send the email thru smtp ...when i know the email id. in my database, soemtimes, there is username instead of email . in that case, how can i send email? any ideas/code examples?
