Browse the OWA url from the client machine. Check if you get a certificate error or not.
If the certificate installed on the server is issued by an Internal CA then you need to install the root certificate i.e. the certificate of your certification authority on the client machine. You need to add it to the "Trusted Root Certification Authority" store on the client machine.
In short you need to make sure that you do not get the certificate error when you browse the OWA URL.
Also could you check and let me know if the certificate installed on the server is issued to the URL that you are entering in the Proxy settings or is it a different name.
