Using the latest and greatest version of Thunderbird, when I receive an email message that contains images, forwarding that message will display a new Compose box but with the images stripped out and replaced with a blank box of about the right size but with a red X inside the box.
I've searched the web and have found many reports from people saying the same thing: they are unable to forward an email message with the images still inline in the message. Few seem to get the problem solved, most seem to not get the problem solved and images in forwarded messages remain not included with the message.
I need to be able to forward a message - hopefully using Thunderbird - that still has all the images within the message still intact.
Thank you in advance for your help!

Hello ChrisEddy,

When you forward an email with image, make sure the format is HTML. Your default format may be Plain Text.
1. An addin could be interfering. Disable Thunderbird Addons. Go to Tools > Addons and disable the addons.
If you cannot open Thunderbird, go to Start > Programs > Mozilla Thunderbird > Mozilla Thunderbird (No Addons).
2. Check if an external program running in the background is interfering with Outlook. Check Firewall, antivirus and other security programs, Google and Yahoo toolbars, and desktop search programs. Disable these programs one at a time.
3. If no joy, create a new Thunderbird profile.

4. Run Thunderbird Standard Diagnostics
