I have about 5 archives with about 300 folders in each. Just wondering how to do this without clicking on every folder and looking inside.

After removing old emails there are now many empty folders I wish to delete. Removing them individually involves selecting folder, pressing delete, then clicking a confirmation button each time. How can these be removed efficiently?

You could drag multiple into one and then delete the one. Granted I don't have multiple empty folders to check if you will get multiple Confirm Delete's, but my guess is you won't get to many.
