Hi,
I have to convert my adress-book and my mails from Thunderbird to Outlook. The Problem is, that I have lots of folders in my mails and lots of lists in my adress-book. So the question ist, how to do that automatically?
For the mails I found the information, that I have to rename all files without an ending to *.mbx, and then download Mbox2eml_DEU.zip and do what is described there in the liesmich.txt (readme.txt). But that doesn´t solve the problem of having too much folders, to do it by hand...

I created an AOL account, and then created it in my thunderbird. Now I have two entries: myaoladress@aol.com and "Local Folders", both with Inbox, Drafts, and so on.
Now I created a folder "testfolder" in my account myaoladress@aol.com, and tried to copy some mails from my "Local Folders" to myaoladress@aol.com, but that didn`t work. Do you have a hint how to copy that?
I don't use AOL, but I'm pretty sure gmails imap will work for you. As a matter of fact. I just tested it in my gmail imap account through thunderbird. But I used gmails Inbox folder.

Note that you cannot manually add messages to the Inbox or Sent Items folders. Messages will only be added to these folders when an e-mail is received or sent by the AOL IMAP server. Therefore, make sure you use local folders for Sent, Drafts and Templates. To specify this, open the Account Settings again and select the "Copies & Folders" item under the AOL account.
