A good question - but I'm not sure how to check.
Main Topics
Browse All TopicsI am trying to connect to an IMAP server by way of a chain of proxy servers. The first proxy resides on localhost and is configured correctly as far as I can tell. It says in the status window that it is "ready to accept incoming connections". The connection that's meant to take place is, Thunderbird sends requests to the local proxy who passes them through an HTTP tunnel that terminates on another proxy server located elsewhere on the public Internet. That sounds a bit complicated, but I'm really stuck at step 1. I can't even seem to get Thunderbird to talk to the localhost proxy. It works just fine for Firefox, and I have the proxy configuration set up exactly the same for Thunderbird. When I make HTTP requests with Firefox, they show up in the localhost proxy log. NOTHING shows up when I click connect in Thunderbird. It immediately says "Failed to connect to server... ". Any idea what might be wrong?
