This add on changes the date format in the thread pane but not in the message itself. The thread pane date can not be copied to paste into something else.

Have you checked out your Windows System Date formats? Can you make those show as you require for your email formats?
The date format that TB defaults to using is the system files format.

Sorry, that's not it.
In TB, go to Tools->Options->Advanced->Gen
mailnews.display.original_
in it and then the result you will right click and select Toggle which should change the Value from False to True.
Then restart TB and you should see the effect immediately in the Headers of the emails. I take it that is what you are copying, pasting, correct?
