Send mail from an application invoke Outlook Express

Hello experts!

I do not use Outlook Express as my email client (ever did) bu Thunderbird.
Outlook Express is installed as a part of OS but not configured.

But sometime applications (e.g Roboform) suggests to send an email directly from application. If I do it then some interface oif Outlook Express starts ( and ask to choose or make new profile)

What can I do to avoid it and to have in those situation Thunderbird started.
I giess it is something in registry , but what and where. That is the question.Start Free Trial

Hello APRESTOUS,

In Internet Explorer, go to Tools > Internet Options > Programs.  Make sure Thunderbird is selected as email program.

Right Click on Taskbar>Properties>StartMenu>Customize
which program is selected for E-Mail here?
it should be Thunderbird in your computer.

If you're running Windows XP another solution would be to download the DefaultMail utility and use it to set the default e-mail client to Thunderbird.

Thank you. But it did not help.

Thunderbird was my email program in the IE settings.
Also I ran the program you suggested.

No difference.  When I run PDF creator and choose to send pdf by e-mail I get the (Choose Profile) interface.

Some applications are hard wired to a specific application.  It is in the code and you cannot change it.

Thunderbird is set up as your default email handler, and that is the best you can do.
