I access the web from the United Kingdom. I had set up an email with the @yahoo.com domain. However, the emails were not reaching me. I found that only @yahoo.co.uk works. How can I retrieve the @yahoo. com emails that have already been sent?

Yahoo operate on a system of IDs - so you can login using any of their sites and it will redirect to your "home" site. I have been in the US, logged in to one of my Yahoo accounts and been redirected to the UK site. Although in practise many of the UK sites are on the same servers as the .com
Yahoo have basically used the GEO IP system that a lot of companies use. This detects where you are located and redirects you accordingly.
Google do the same thing now - hit google.com and you will be sent to google.co.uk (same servers though).
Although one of the best examples of use of the GEO IP system is the BBC News web site. They make heavy use of it. If you hit the BBC News web site from abroad, you get the world edition by default and don't get any of the links to the broadband content. Hit the site from a UK address you get one set of links, hit from one of their partner ISPs and you see the links to the broadband content.

The question does not answer my question directly.
The technical discussion is fine.However, there is a point in here that I need to explain- Yahoo.com web addresses can be chosen and accessed from the UK; the only thing you have to be careful is when you are signing up for the first time, you have to speficy which address you want- .com or .co.uk. Once you have opened one, you always be in the same server and you will not be able to access the other one nor sign up with the same user name in the other server address.
It appears that the .com mails are not recoverable as there is no such address registered with yahoo.

Are you sure that you had an @yahoo.com address?
If you sign up to Yahoo mail from the UK then you get a .co.uk address - you don't get any other option. The only way you can get a yahoo.com address is by using a machine physically located in the US, or having a very old account from when the service first launched.
As far as Yahoo are concerned, the co.uk and .com variants are two different accounts - so mail sent to the .com variant have either been lost or gone in to another account.
Shouldn't this be a question you ask Yahoo though?
