The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

What order should messages be recieved if three computers are accessing the same pop account?

Asked by kallatech in Email Software, Outlook Groupware Software, OE-WindowsLive

I understand that once the messages are delivered from the server that they are loaded to the pst file on the computer.

Here is the problem that is driving my client nuts.
Apparenlty they said it worked before.
They have one att dsl  pop account that customers send email to.

Two of the computers are running outlook 2003 and one is running outlook express.
What they want to happen is for all three computers to get the same mail messages at the same time.
What is happening is that some emails come to one computer and some go to another computer.
I have adjusted the send and recieve settings on the computer that is not supposed to get them first.
The other information is that two computers are set to connect to mail.sbcglobal.net smtp.sbcglobal.net
The other one is configured to connect to mail.att.yahoo.com and smtp.att.yahoo.com.
I made this change the other day.
This computer has different port assignments than the other ones.
Here are the settings for the one computer.
Change the POP server to pop.att.yahoo.com.
Change the SMTP server to smtp.att.yahoo.com.
Check the option labeled Use an encrypted connection (SSL).
Change the SMTP port to 465.
Check the option labeled Use an encrypted connection (SSL).
Change the POP3 port to 995.
Does anyone have any idea how to make this work the way the client wants it to?
