The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Forwarded messages to user on BES not going through

Asked by technomic in Email Software, Exchange Email Server

Dear Experts,

We have an urgent issue that we were not able to fully resolve.
User has BB 8100c with CIngular. We have an older BES 3.8 and Exchange 2003 Standard. Users stated that not all of his messages are going through to his BlackBerry. Account was removed from BES 3.8 and readded, server was rebooted. BB was then synced with the Desktop Manager on the PC and mail started going through. I sent messages to the user internally as well as externally messages went throught. User has just contacted me stating that the forwarded message to him did go through to his Outlook but not the BB device...
User also receives AOL mail on it. Data plan should be alright since e is still getting some of his other messages. I was told a couple of a couple of things to try.
1 try removing and readding the account on BES and then inserting the PIN manually on BES 3.8 without ever connecting the device to PC.
2 readd the account on BES 3.8, connect the phone to PC (BB Desktop redirector) and sync - this worked for regular sent messages but not the fordarded once (to the best of my knowledge)
User is also able to reply to send messages from BB
3 Resend the books (not sure how to do this on 8100c), remove and add the account on BES.

Please help, this is really urgent and any help would be highly appricated.
