Evolution and Exchange server

Is there a way to use Evolution (Linux Mail client) with the newer varieties of Microsoft server systems or has Mr. Gates et al. finally found a way to thwart Linux home users' attempts to participate in office activitites through their O/S of choice?

It used to work with Evolution using OWA but now it seems pretty impossible. Any ideas?
