One user reported this problem but I have since found that this happens to everyone if they send the same email... so here's the issue:
When a user sends this particular email (which is quite long and has a lot of HTML in it) it gets truncated at roughly the same point each time so the recipient only receives 3/4 of the email then it jsut cuts off, sometimes mid sentence or in the middle of a word. It happens with any recipient so it looks like a problem at our end and I have tried recreating Outlook profiles etc. The PC has even been replaced (for other reasons) and the problem still happens - like i said though, other users have found that they have the same problem on other PCs if they try to send this particular email.
I tried getting the user to copy and paste the email into a new blank email instead of forwarding it like they were doing and although this seemed to cut off further down in the email than the other attempts, it still cut off.
I tried sending the same email from another network/server to myself and this worked fine so it looks like a problem with the user's email server combined with something in this email. They found that even if they forward the email but take out most of it, some of it still gets chopped off... so it doesnt LOOK like its anything to do with a character limit or anything but I dunno.
It happens when sending internally as well as externally as far as I can tell but I cant confirm that 100% yet.
They are running Exchange Server 5.5, where as the email server I tested it on was Exchange 2003 so I was wondering if there are any limits to message length etc in 5.5 which do not exist in 2003?
Any ideas?
Thanks
