FTP access

Hello,
I have Windows 2003 SBS Standard edition with an FTP Site setup running behind a default SBS firewall (FTP is enabled using Internet connection wizard )The FTP Site is directed to a shared folder on the server. The Users group has complete rights to the folder and also has the right to logon locally on the Domain Controller or SBS. When I connect to FTP internally using IE 7 I have no problem I can work with FTP content, same then I using third party FTP Now Windows FTP client software. When I connect to FTP externally using IE 7 Im receiving login screen and after entering login credentials I have following msg: Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage&.   Then Im using Windows FTP client software FTP Now  connection created but / is empty&.What Im missing?
 Please help
