Thanks nimatejic. I will try the other clients. I was just thinking it might've had something to do with my firewall setup.

Browse All TopicsI receive the following error when trying to connect to my FTP server at home using the Filezilla client.
Error: Disconnected from server: ECONNABORTED - Connection aborted
Error: Failed to retrieve directory listing
I hit quick connect once to get this error. If I click it a second time it goes through. Just curious on what could be causing this. I have opened up ports 21 and 20 on both my routers firewall and windows firewall on my server which is running server 2008. I can continue to keep clicking on quick connect twice to get in but it gets annoying after a while. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. BTW, I'm currently running version 3.2.3.1 of the filezilla client.

Apparently V3 of Filezilla software has these problems on some servers. V2.2.26 should work just fine. You can try to use Total Commander or CuteFTP which are better FTP clients in my honest opinion.
