How do I fix this error code in order to access my email?  I can go as far as email username and password and then I receive this error

Hi -
I was able to bring up the internet.  I can bring up the sign-in email but as soon as I enter my username and password I receive Error 501 -- Not Implemented.  I now have trouble getting Internet Explorer.  I have downloaded Reg-Cure and PC ProDoc to no avail.  I am using a computer in another room.  I need to access information relating to the motorcycle accident I was in for a lawyer appointment.  I had Comcast technical support on-line and on the phone and they gave up.  I would like this error to go away.  Thank you for your time!  CarolStart Free Trial
