How to check the given http user agent and accept header

i'm developing a Java B2B application where the requester (client application) will send me a  message to provide me the "HTTP user agent" and "HTTP Accept Header" for the customer's user agent and accept header at the browser. I need to validate this two set of information to make sure my web application can support this and then reply to the requester before the requester can redirect to my web page. So, would like to check what and how should i do with this two kind of information.
