Something blocking http ??

Asked by XXhris in Windows Vista, HTTP, Consumer Firewalls

Tags: vista http port block

Setup: Laptop running Vista, wi-fi to home network and DSL internet.  Running Firefox, IE and Thunderbird. Vista firewall off, ZoneAlarm free firewall on.

When first booted up, this laptop connects gets email and surfs web just fine.

After a while (varying times 30mins to 2 hours), the surfing gets 'blocked'.  Both Firefox and IE fail to connect to web. Email is still ok. Switching to a different wi-fi signal (on same network) doesn't resolve problem. Rebooting does.

Help please - what to look for? what could be doing this?
Tips for diagnostic steps to take please?

Other PCs on same wi-fi and same home network don't have this problem.

Thanks
