The boot screen starts with an error box headed "Winlogon.exe-Bad Image" followed by "The application or DLL
imm32.dll is not a valid Windows image"
If I keep clicking, the initial error keeps changing, ""Isass.exe-Bad Image", "services.exe Bad Image", etc until it finally boots to the normal screen, only to reopen the message whenever i try to load a program. Most programs will load, except the ones i use most frequently, i.e. iTunes, System Mechanic 7 Pro, AIM, and a few other progs (not mozilla thankfully)
Booting to Safe Mode does not even work, it loads the black screen with white scrolling print and stops in the middle of loading! So there is no way to even get to safe mode.
I thought reinstalling windows might help, but then when i click on "Install Windows XP," it gives me the same error, with " winnt32.exe - Bad Image" as the caption in the title bar.
I tried to look it up on your site, but i don't have a credit card, since i use cash for everything, so i could not sign up, which meant i could not see the solution. Please, if you could, help me with this issue so i can get on with my daily regular comp life again!
By the way, my comp is a HP Compaq nc6220 mod with 1.5 gigs of ram, winxp pro, and an intel centrino mobile tech processor.
