Question

Automatically download without running as administrator?

I installed Azureus in Windows Vista 32 and I've noticed that I can manually download files with no problem, but downloading automatically (using an RSS feed scanner) gives me "IO Exception: Access Denied" unless I select "run as administrator" when I start Azureus.  I'd rather avoid the annoying security dialogs.  Is there any way I can avoid this error without running Azureus as an administrator?

Thanks!  I changed the behavior of the elevation prompt for administrators in Admin Approval Mode to "elevate without prompting" using gpedit.msc.  That allows me to run Azureus (and anything else) in administrator mode without the annoying prompts, but am I compromising my general security by doing so?  In other words, is it now easier for malicious software to cause damage to my computer?

Personal opinion I dont think so, have you used xp, its similar to having an administrator account and a limited account in xp.
add protection just like safe sex lol.
We all like to have control over own computers. Include in the p2p scan the files in the preferences.
With anything make sure you keep your AV up to date every day  clean out the internet usage using something like ccleaner on a regular basis

And your good to go.
There will always be unsafe nasties out there when we open the front door to the internet so to speak just be careful and follow the recomended guidlines when going out.
