Here is a port of the well known putty ssh/telnet client http://putty.darwinports.com/  states compatibility with mac Leopard OS

I thought Linux(with telnet and openssh and such stuff) is included with MACOSX and later. So basically open console and try
telnet

ssh does everything telnet does but it more secure and, as ravenpl points out, is built in. http://www.aota.net/Telnet/mac-terminal.php4
This link will walk you through it.

Most versions of Linux / Unix have telnet disabled as default.  Use SSH for communication, is built into the MAC OS, via the console command line.  Additional information available via the MAN page.

I always wonder why there's always load(not just one) of posts telling to use ssh instead of telnet.
Maybe author wants to connect to cisco switch - usually no ssh server there. Lots of examples like that.

Thanks Raven,, You are right. I want to connect to Cisco devices using telnet from my MAC and looking for a decent telnet client. True that I can always use telnet through the command shell, but I was wondering if we do have a SecureCRT like client for MAC's out there.

Regards,
Ajay

by: ravenplPosted on 2007-12-28 at 03:49:51ID: 20541105

but SecureCRT is ssh client. Do Your device support ssh connections? If so, You have the ssh client as well, just open terminal and type
ssh username@remote.IP.or.domain

ajayprk,
If you are connecting to Cisco devices then you will be using telnet.  Open terminal and type
telnet Host_Address -l User

Additional information for telnet may be found on the man page.  Open Terminal and type
man telnet.

Regards.

I already stated in comment 20541105 that it's called ssh
