SSH login denied because of hostname

I have a remote CentOS 5 Linux machine. I have SSH working fine on it. When accessed internally, I can log into it via SSH. But when I putty into the machine using the outside domain pointing to the machine, it doesn't accept my credentials. The problem is that it expects me to be root@localhost but when I am remoting in using the domain, it doesn't like that I'm root@mydomain.com, my root password doesn't work anymore because of the host. How can I solve this so the root can log in using the internal IP address of outside domain name?Start Free Trial
