PuTTy

I have downloaded PuTTy and need to use the command line to change some permissions. I have always changed permissions in cpanel and don't know what I am doing here. I can't figure out what the manual is explaining. So I start PuTTy and Command Prompt. Do I connect with PuTTy and then do I have to cd to get to Putty to use it? I am not sure what I have to do. Please spell it out to someone who has not used PuTTy or Command Prompt. Thanks.Start Free Trial
