  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. How to access a windows folder from Linux

Dear Expert:

We have some Windows Servers on my company (Windows 2000 and 2003). These servers are inside a Windows Active Directory.

We have also a Linux server (with a SUSE Enterprise 10 SP2 distribution). We access to this linux server using root user.

We would like to be able to share a folder in order it is visible and updatable from Windows as well as from Linux.This folder should be stored preferibly on a Windows server.

I think we have to install samba client on linux and configure it. Could you help me with concise instructions for doing this on the described scenario ?
