Appointments created via WebDav are missing in calendar of organizer and attendee

Asked by vrkorada in Exchange Email Server, Outlook Groupware Software, WebDAV File Sharing

I am using WebDav protocol to create/send/delete Appointments/Meeting requests on Microsoft Exchange server 2003 SP2. I see that every day few appointment items vanish from the organizer's calendar without anyone explicitly deleting them. The items get deleted in bulk i.e, 15 - 20 every day. The software which creates the meeting requests/Appointments is written in Java and operates under Solaris 10 operating system.
This is also happening with few attendees who say their calendar items are missing once they accept them.

Recently we removed the write permissions of all the delegates on the organizer's folder and that has prevented the items from vanishing in the organizer's calendar but the problem with items missing in attendee's calendar is still there.
